==Format==
The format for Golos differs from a traditional talent show. Many of the contestants are professional vocalists and represents a broad range of musical genres and vocal capabilities. A key difference compared to other televised vocal competition shows is the high demand on the vocal coaches and the significant respect afforded to each participant. The coaches do not simply offer each contestant a critique or suggest that the contestant change his or her approach to singing and performing, but rather work with each contestant on equal terms, providing in-depth analysis and detailed recommendations in an effort to help each contestant create the best possible all-around performance.
The winner of the first season of the final, which took place on December 29, 2012 was Dina Garipova, a member of Aleksander Gradsky's team. She was subsequently selected as the Russian representative to the Eurovision Song Contest 2013.
